Business pulse beats stronger online

The final edition of CCI’s member magazine Business Pulse has now been published.

As part of CCI’s new strategic plan and in line with current trends, CCI has decided to place a greater emphasis on digital content.

We would like to thank you for supporting the magazine through loyal readership, advertising, participation in stories, photographs and columns and making it part of the furniture in your reception areas.

Looking back on more than 30 years of the CCI’s publications, headlines such as “WA’s apprentice training tragedy”, “Labor and Unions in struggle over IR policy”, “WA businesses back GST, tax cuts” and “Push for more trading hours post-Christmas” scream out.

While it makes you wonder what has changed, it also makes it clear that the battle to make WA the best place to do business is far from won. It’s tough out there, as any business will attest to, with the issues evolving over time.

While Business Pulse may be laid to rest, CCI’s fight for a better playing field is far over.

In fact, it’s amping up to a whole new level with more immediate and relevant content set to arrive via digital channels

“We are excited about this change and we urge you to keep your eye out for some exciting developments including video content, interaction on via Facebook and some campaigning that will break new ground,” CCI CEO Chris Rodwell said.

In this edition

The final magazine has the appropriate theme of ‘Moving Ahead’ and delves into what keeps WA ticking in terms of freight and logistics.

Guest columnists include Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack and Infrastructure Australia CEO Philip Davies.

CCI also celebrates Apprenticeship Support Australia’s 20 years of mentoring and placing apprentices around WA.
