Spinifex Brewing Co’s vision to be the most recognised and loved Australian craft beer brand globally is a step closer to becoming a reality.
“We are extremely proud and grateful to now be the beer of choice at the Royal Danish Embassy in Canberra,” the company said.
The Spinifex Brewing Co’s Taste of Western Australia range will now be served to guests and dignitaries attending events and visiting the Embassy.
“We are very grateful to the Danish Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand, Her Excellency Ms. Pernille Dahler Kardel, for taking the time to taste our beer and learn about the Spinifex Story — creating a new genre within the craft beer industry and supporting First Nations producers within our supply chain as well as creating a zero-waste circular economy within our new production facility and “Doing Good with Great Beer’,” the company said.
Ambassador Kardel said: “Beer is a part of being Danish as we brew probably the best beer in the world … so I certainly serve beer in the Danish residence in Australia. Beside our own beer, I like to serve a very Australian and good beer. That is what Spinifex Brewing Co is to me. I appreciate the story about the brewery, and I love the infusion of flavours that to me, are so Australian.”
Spinifex’s connection with the Royal Danish Embassy was made possible by the “tremendous support Spinifex Brewing Co has received from Michael Carter – Head of International Trade & Investment at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA”, it said.
This support has included securing its participation in a European Union Free Trade Agreement Round Table facilitated by DFAT, and an opportunity to showcase the Spinifex Taste of Western Australia as beer sponsor for the recent Emerging Opportunities in the EU and other international trade events.
Spinifex Brewing Co aims to feature on the event and dinner menus of all foreign embassies and consulates in Australia and on the menus of Australian embassies and consulates around the world.
“We are very excited and proud to announce that the Royal Danish Embassy is the first and as such will hold a very special place in our journey,” Spinifex said.
“Our message to the world: we are just getting started’.”
